Skin as one of the largest organ, it becomes susceptible to diseases and ailments. There are many pollutants and dangers that can affect your skin leading to skin ailments thus requiring a lot of care.
Here are the common skin ailments and some treatments.

Excessive Dry Skin

Many people are affected by dry skin which can either be caused by the cold weather or a lot of heat. This dryness can cause the irritated skin to become itchy. However, common dryness is easily treated by daily exfoliating.

To alleviate dryness, one needs to drink a lot of water to keep the body hydrated. Baby lotion is a great moisturizer and in the place of that you can rub sesame oil all over your body.

A fruit like coconut and avocado oil treats and nourishes dry skin. You can also rub honey all over your body and leave it for a maximum of ten minutes for deep moisturizing. Petroleum jelly is a great remedy; you can rub it on your lips, hands and feet.

Rashes

Rashes are caused by different environmental or chemical irritants like allergic to scented lotions or perfumes, detergents, diseases or eczema.

You can find relief for rashes using some home remedies. The easiest remedy; avoid scratching because this spreads the rash. If it becomes unbearable, you can apply an anti-itch cream to help you.

Olive oil, Vera gel, cod liver oil and Vitamin E provide relief for rashes. You can also soak a cloth in comfrey tea or calcium water or use baking powder on the affected area.

When you get rashes you can soak in a cool water bath adding a little oatmeal which will help treat rashes as it relives inflammation. Soak in the oatmeal bath for results. If the rashes don’t subside with other symptoms showing after your home treatment then you should see a doctor.

Acne

Acne is an elusive skin problem that can be painful and for some an irritating appearance. Acne can develop into scars. Acne can be prevented by taking natural whole foods for good skin care. Drink a lot of water and fresh juice. A natural diet works well to cure acne because it contains vitamins and minerals.

Personal hygiene is necessary to cure acne. Keep your face clean. Don’t scratch an area affected by acne with dirty hands as it may spread bacteria.

Lemon juice is also a natural remedy for acne. It is rich in vitamin C and helps with immunity. Honey can also cure your acne, drinking honey and lemon juice in lukewarm water will keep your skin glowing.

If you find some of these skin problems persistent and recurring, it may be time to visit a dermatologist.
